The brake is a long drop one - it just didn't drop far enough. The brake post i made is a peice of steel tube which i boght from ebay after measuring the inside diameter of the steerer tube. It slotted up the streer tube by about 50mm leaving 30mm or so free for the brake mount. I then drilled through the existing brake mount hole and bloted teh tube and then drilled anew hole for the brake in the right place. Hope this helps.

hi, i was looking at your fixie and specifically your custom brake post, i was wondering what you made it out of? did you have to create a thread on it for the brake and did you try a long drop front brake first, i'm building my first fixie and i think i will encounter this problem, cheers!
